Being tenacious is not a simple task. Matter of fact, it is a hard skill to acquire, but the best part about it is that anyone can achieve tenacity. Everyone can train their minds to be perseverant and never quit. In order to start the journey of obtaining Financial Tenacity, the right mindset is required. Go into the archives of your mind, and turn off the phrases and words “I can’t” & “I’ll try.” Those words are just leaving too much room for doubt to conquer your conscience. You know, that little voice inside your head that for some reason has an immense amount of power over your actions. Don’t get me wrong, I also have that annoying voice inside my head from time to time. Yet, I have no shame in telling that voice to shut up and suck it up.
Visualize where you want to be. Whether it is in a cabana on a tropical island while being financially stable or in a private jet on your way to a meeting halfway across the world. We all have different definitions of success, but we should always expect greatness from within ourselves, no matter how small the task. For example, I honestly hate waking up early but, that is why I do it. I get up at 5:25 AM because it is uncomfortable for me, and every time I force myself to get out of bed I start my day with a victory. When you set yourself at a higher standard to the point of expecting greatness, being tenacious will come naturally. Believe it or not, we are actually born being tenacious. Have you ever thought about how a baby tries to stand up and falls over and over again while attempting to walk? That is tenacity at its purest form, it is not until we grow up that negativity is installed in our minds.
Now that you have visualized where you want to be in your future, think about the tasks you need to accomplish in the PRESENT. Go back to when you were a baby, you may not remember, but your first goal was to take that first step. If you tried to run, you’d probably fall. The same thing applies to your goals. Start small and work your way up. REMEMBER! The higher you go, the stronger the wind gets. What is meant by this is that as your success starts to add up, you will encounter greater resistance from any group of people around you or even future colleagues. The good news is that if you kept reading the Financial Tenacity blog your mind is stronger than ever and conditioned for situations like these. Use criticism to adjust and serve you as motivation, not to detract you from your goals. Just remind yourself, there is greatness within you, oh and truly believe it. Whatever you think of yourself, you’re right!
“Permanence, perseverance and persistence in spite of all obstacles, discouragements and impossibilities: It is this, that in all things distinguishes the strong soul from the weak.”
Regarding this topic, I recommend reading a book called “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne. This book is about how to attract the things you want in your life, with the power of your mind. It might just change your life.
