I bet that’s a question you don’t get asked frequently. Maybe you have never been asked that question before. When you come to think of it, as time passes us by the less we try to do new things or try to do something for the first time.
Do you remember when you were a kid? When your life was full of new adventures and experiences. You felt fearless to try and do new things. You loved every time you made a new friend, learned a new word, visited a new place or even tried a new food.
But as time passed us by, the new things became the norm and trying out new things aren’t as fun. We didn’t seem to have the time to go on adventures, or maybe we didn’t want to make the time.
You’ll notice that living in the routine makes time fly faster. When we were young, time went a little slower, because we were learning new things every day. Now we think we know everything, and our routine takes our time and energy away from us.
So, I encourage you to…
Try a new thing for the first time…in a long time.
Try out something you’ve always wanted to do, yet never got around to it. This could be, reading a new book, writing a book, learning a new language or just a few simple words. Try to do something that seems impossible to do on the first try. Do something that scares you or even motivates you. Try something big, or maybe you can start out small. It really doesn’t matter what you do, it’s better to do something, than nothing at all.
