Spend on Experiences

Spending…the verb that can bring up different emotions depending on the person. For some spending brings out excitement. While others the word comes with frustration. We all have different ways to look at spending. Especially when it comes to our own money. I bet everyone would love to have all the money in the world to spend, just as long it’s not their own.

As time passes by I have concluded that you can spend on much more than just material things. This may sound odd but follow me here.

Have you ever thought on spending on experiences?

If the answer to this question is: no or you don’t know what I mean. I encourage you to try it. I will try my best to explain what I mean with this. When we think about spending, we see ourselves using money to buy material things such as: cars, jewelry, luxuries or even day to day essentials. But have you even thought of spending to invest in your personal growth and enrichment.

Chances are that you have practice this, without even knowing. So, let me give you some easy examples:

  • Going to a concert
  • Indulging in a culinary experience
  • Learning a new language
  • Taking a trip

This are some simple examples on how you can invest on experiences. Some are simpler than others. Yet they all have the common characteristic of providing you with knowledge and experience that will enrich your soul and mind.

As time passes by more and more opportunities to invest in experiences will appear. I will invite you to capitalize on them. At the end of the day the experiences and memories you create through your life are the things that you will take with you. Not the expensive commodities you have.
